The kinetics of neodymium chloride reduction in the NaCl-KCl equimolar melt

ABSTRACT:

The kinetic parameters (transfer coefficient, heterogenic constants of charge transfer rate) of cathode reduction for neodymium ion in the Nacl-KCl equimole melt were determined by means of chronopotentiometry, and chronovoltammetry. Dependences of kinetic parameters on temperature and concentration of rare earth metal chloride were presented. The mechanism for complex reduction in the NaCl-KCl equimole melt was suggested.
