The effect of phase formation on the character of inter-phase interaction at aluminothermic reduction of zirconium from its dioxide

ABSTRACT:

Theoretical and experimental estimation of surface and volume properties of zirconium-aluminum alloys, obtained by means of aluminothermic reduction of zirconium from its dioxide was performed. According to experimental data of surface tension and metal and slag density, the interphase characteristics, affecting the segregation of products, were calculated.
