Surface properties of the LiF–KF–ZrF4 molten system

ABSTRACT:

The investigation of the surface tension of the LiF–KF–ZrF4 molten mixture  were carried out in a wide range of temperatures and concentrations. The surface tension  of melt was determined by the method of maximum pressure in the gas bubble. The effect of the initial ion composition of the mixture was set according to the value of the surface tension.  The redundant functions interaction of components in the surface layer (the free energy Gω, entropy Sω, enthalpy Hω) was calculated.
