Studying the effect of the casting mold water cooling on the temperature field during the ligature ingots crystallization made of aluminum alloys

ABSTRACT:

The water-cooled casting mold was developed in order to provide a  high cooling rate of aluminum castings doped  with scandium. Modeling of filling and solidification process allowed determining the optimal technological parameters of cooling design features based on shape and heat-transfer surface of the casting. The developed method of modeling the casting mold with water cooling  evaluates the effectiveness of this design.
