Electrode potentials of uranium in the LiCl–KCl–CsCl molten eutectic mixture

ABSTRACT:

Electrode potentials of uranium in the molten eutectic mixture of lithium, potassium and cesium chlorides were measured in the temperature range of 573-1073 K. Apparent standard potentials of Е*U(III)/U and basic thermodynamical characteristics for uranium trichloride in the LiCl-KCl-CsCl melt were evaluated, and electron absorption spectra for UCl63- ions were measured.
