Effect of the mechanically activated REM oxides of the lanthanide group on borate melts density

ABSTRACT:

The values of melts density (ρ) based on the boron oxide with additions of 1 wt% of mechanically activated REM oxides of the lanthanide group in the temperature range of 800-1650K were determined with the use of the laying drop technique. The linear dependences of the ρ values on temperature were established, and their temperature dependences were calculated. The density dependence in the raw of studied borate melts is a subjected to in-row periodicity at increasing the lanthanide atomic number.
