Correlation between thermal expansion and heat capacity in halide melts

ABSTRACT:

The analysis of the thermal expansion coefficients of molten halides has been carried out. The coefficients were found to be of close values for all halides with exception of lithium halides. The thermal expansion coefficients and molar heat capacity of molten halides were found to change the same way with molar mass. Since the coefficient of thermal expansion and heat capacity vary symbiotically with molar mass their relation is constant.
