Clarification of liquid tin thermal properties at high temperatures

ABSTRACT:

The individual study of temperature-dependent enthalpy increment of a liquid tin within the range between 800 and 1475 K was induced by existing contradictoriness and indeterminacy of the available reference data on thermal properties of this metal at a high temperature. The measurements were carried out by drop calorimetry method in argon atmosphere using SETARAM MHTC high-temperature calorimeter. The obtained results were compared with the known literature information and allowed making proper choice of the most appropriate source of the reference data.
