Application of the polimer theory to the calculation of surface tension of titanium containing oxide – fluoride melt

This paper contains the results of calculation of surface tension in aluminium–calcium oxide–fluoride melts using polimer theory. It was shown that when the content of titanium oxide in the melt is less than 15% it consists mainly of aluminium-fluoride-oxygen complexes and if the titanium content is more than 15% such complexes disappear and new formed titanium–oxide and titanium–fluoride–oxide anions take their place.
