Degassing the molten pure silicon in helium at low electrode current

ABSTRACT:

The peculiarities of inter-electrode Si–Mo-gas transfer in helium from the pure silicon melt were considered. Based on data obtained at low current, a removal of the ions including into the molecular compounds of gases with silicon from the multi-layer surface layer of melt was proved. . The composition and quantity of these compounds were estimated. The purification completion of the silicon melt from gases was determined.
