Estance of gold in the melts of sodium halides and the effect of alkali metal reduction

Yu.G. Pastukhov

estance, gold, sodium, molten salts, intermetallide

The appearance of new phase formation, probably, intermetallide is observed in dependences of current density and estance on potential for gold in the sodium halide melts in the charge range of Na+ (at E < –1.2 V against lead ref.el.). In some conditions the intermetallide reduction occurs at more positive potential than the estance zero crossing with the sign change, at that the estance cathode zero is not observed.
